Italian Envimobile training

Already second from the series of international trainings took place in the cradle of the Renaissance and Italian classics, Florence, from April 13th to 17th 2015. Luciano Massetti and Francesca Ugolini from Biometeorological IBIMET Institute – CNR, Italian partner of the Envimobile project, were very kind and helpful hosts.

Welcome of participants and some parts of the program took place in the city centre, in the observatory of Leonard Ximenesia, founded in 1756. Other programme parts took place in the lecture room of scientific and educational CNR Campus, on the outskirts of the city. Our Slovak lecturers, Jozef Kahan and Adriana Kováčová, along with Juan Diego Lopez Giraldo from Spain, trained twenty teachers and youth workers for five days. Presentations and workshops, aimed at developing methodical materials, were interwoven with live discussions and exchange of practical experience. Participants, among other practical exercises, suggested the design of public places of a selected urban park from nearby town.

We also discussed in details the basic ideas for mobile application. We already have a clear idea of basic graphics, functionality and slowly the database of test questions is being fulfilled. Additionally, within walking along a sunny Florence, we have discussed other options for cooperation. Can you imagine that you can reach the Italian scientists from the Biometeorological Institute over skype and realize a laboratory work or a lecture with them? It’s possible. You don’t even need to speak Italian, English is just enough. So what do you think about such a possibility?
