Esenred: a meeting point for Envimobile-Erasmus plus and the International Conference of Young People.

The School Network for a Connected Sustainability (Esenred) in the Region of Murcia organised a meeting on the 4th May of 2016 where the participants got first-hand experience with the projects of the education community in environment issues.


This meeting had to serve as a platform to inform about the results of an Erasmus plus project, Envimobile, Integration of mobile learning into environmental education fostering local communities development (

The event was divided in two important moments. First of all, in the morning, all the projects had a stand to show and exchange experiences. Secondly, the teachers participated in a talk to inform about the European project Envimobile and to learn details about how to use its easy and motivating mobile application and some other educational methodologies to be used transversely in environmental education. Some of these methodologies made reference to Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in order to be put into practice afterwards in class.


The “CONFERENCIA INTERNACIONAL DE JÓVENES CUIDEMOS EL PLANETA (CONFINT),” in other words, “let´s take care of the planet international conference of young people”, was carried out at national level in other regions of Spain, showing different kinds of environmental projects in the school setting that may facilitate the exchange, reflexion, the development of common projects to establish relationships with other similar networks, focusing on the competence development of the students through their participatory prominence and the continuous training of the teachers.

The educational centres of the Region that participated in this meeting were from 16 different towns of Murcia, such as Águilas, Alcantarilla and San Pedro del Pinatar, among others. The place of the event was the high school Miguel de Cervantes, in Murcia.

The coordination of this event has been carried out by VITA XXI SLP, as a partner of the Envimobile Project in Spain.
